UMW - United Methodist Women
 Purpose The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Upcoming Events:Pancake Supper, February 21, 2012 The first is the Winter Gathering and Luncheon at Meriden First United Methodist Church on February 11, 2012 from 9:30 to 2:30PM. Registration begins at 9. The cost is $8.50 and our Special Guest Speaker is Carol Barton of the Women's Division.
The second is the District Spring Day Apart on April 21, 2012 at the Hartford United Methodist Church in Trumbull, CT.
The third is the District Fall Gathering at Trinity United Methodist Church in Windsor, CT on October 13, 2012.
I also would like to bring to your attention the UMW of the New York Conference will be conducting a conference wide Spiritual Retreat on March 31, 2012 Memorial United Methodist Church, 250 Bryant Avenue in White Plains, NY. New York Conference Cooperative School of Christian Mission will be held at Western Connecticut State University on July 19-July 21, 2012.
